You have a tendency to remind me I exist but in a good way
this is random and embarrassing but if we are mutuals on here i genuinely adore you so much and if i wasn’t horrendous at making conversation i would be bothering you so much. u guys are so cool (please be my friend)
"I can fix him" good for you. I need to craft a scenario in which he betters himself, to prove to myself that I can meaningfully atone despite how much of myself I see in him.
"I can make him worse" I can too but first I have to prove that there was hope for him somewhere, at some point, which he rejected. Because if there was never any hope for him, what hope is there for me?
in the orphic tradition of greek myth, Zagreus and Dionysus get conflated sometimes. this is poked fun at in Hades 1, when Zag and Dionysus decide to mess with Orpheus by saying they're the same person
sparked by that, Orpheus then writes the in-game song "Hymn to Zagreus," which ends up basically detailing the Zagreus myth in the real life orphic tradition, but within the game is full of hilariously blatant misinformation
now Hades 2 is supposedly diving even deeper into stuff from the real life orphic tradition, which is said to be based off hymns from Orpheus himself
so wouldn't it be hilarious if Melanoe's entire perception of her own literal brother was based off information from a stupid prank
